Step 2: Schedule Launch and Go-Live:
After the completion of the pre-launch process, Staffing Angel RN™ is set for live release. The flow of the creation of each schedule is as follows:Release Dates/Creation of all Shifts for the Schedule:Staffing Angel™ "Releases" all jobs for each Unit at a pre-set time before the beginning of every scheduling period. Most clients opt for a 6-week release, meaning that jobs are created at 12:00AM 6 weeks before the first day of the next schedule. |
Set Schedule Shifts Locked:Upon the release of shifts, all set-schedule shifts lock down for those employees on sets (Weekend Option, Recurring Tracks, etc.). The remaining open needs for the unit then release for immediate self-scheduling by FTEs and a staggered release for PRNs. |
Self Scheduling:Unit-based employees are given a preferential timeframe to self-schedule open shifts and gain compliance with pre-determined work targets. The preferential period is determined by the Unit Manager and is built into the Master Schedule. Most clients select either one or two weeks of preferential scheduling before shifts are available to PRN Employees. This link shows self-scheduling from an Employee perspective.
